Emmaus Adoration

An Encounter with Christ

Adoration is held in the main chapel every Wednesday from 5-6pm alongside Confessions. Stay afterwards for refreshments and fellowship!

The Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Adoration Chapel is currently undergoing renovations, expected to be completed in summer 2025.

Calvert House is open for prayer during regular business hours on Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm.  If the door is locked, please just ring the doorbell and someone will buzz you in.

 

Adoration is the first attitude of man acknowledging that he is a creature before his Creator. It exalts the greatness of the Lord who made us and the almighty power of the Savior who sets us free from evil. Adoration is homage of the spirit to the ‘King of Glory,’ respectful silence in the presence of the ‘ever greater’ God. Adoration of the thrice-holy and sovereign God of love blends with humility and gives assurance to our supplications.” (CCC #2628)
